February 2020

Canada admitted 25,925 permanent residents in February 2020. Among them, there were 10,060 foreign skilled workers, 4,830 provincial nominees, 210 business immigrants, 5,100 sponsored spouses, 1,555 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 365 sponsored children. The share of economic class immigrants in February was 58.3% while family class constituted 27.3% of the total.

January 2020

Canada welcomed 24,725 permanent residents in January 2020. Among them, there were 9,955 foreign skilled workers, 5,005 provincial nominees, 445 business immigrants, 4,480 sponsored spouses, 1,225 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 375 sponsored children. The share of economic class immigrants in January was 62.3% while family class constituted 24.8% of the total.

December 2019

Canada admitted 20,890 permanent residents in December 2019. Among them, there were 8,450 foreign skilled workers, 3,310 provincial nominees, 260 business immigrants, 4,730 sponsored spouses, 1,375 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 415 sponsored children. In total, 341,180 foreigners immigrated to Canada in 2019.

November 2019

Canada admitted 25,100 permanent residents in November 2019. Among them, there were 9,775 foreign skilled workers, 4,275 provincial nominees, 210 business immigrants, 5,105 sponsored spouses, 1,375 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 315 sponsored children. As of November 30, 2019, 320,300 foreigners immigrated to Canada in 2019.

October 2019

31,245 foreigners were granted PR status in October 2019. Among them, there were 11,815 foreign skilled workers, 6,570 provincial nominees, 305 business immigrants, 5,560 sponsored spouses, 1,470 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 335 sponsored children. As of October 31, Canada welcomed 295,205 immigrants in 2019.

September 2019

In September 2019, 35,505 foreigners received a permanent residence in Canada. These include 13,330 skilled foreign workers, 7,980 immigrants through provincial programs, 325 business immigrants, 5,915 sponsored spouses, 1,580 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 475 sponsored children. As of September 30, 2019, 263,945 people immigrated to Canada.

August 2019

Canada admitted 31,635 permanent residents in August 2019. Among them, there were 11850 foreign skilled workers, 8790 provincial nominees, 395 business immigrants, 5,325 sponsored spouses, 1,200 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 335 sponsored children. As of August 31, 228,510 foreigners immigrated to Canada in 2019.

July 2019

36,670 foreigners were granted PR status in July 2019. Among them, there were 13,385 foreign skilled workers, 7,910 provincial nominees, 440 business immigrants, 6,325 sponsored spouses, 1,800 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 335 sponsored children. As of July 31, 196,875 immigrants were admitted to Canada in 2019.

June 2019

In June 2019, 34,375 people immigrated to Canada. Among them, there were 11,825 foreign skilled workers, 7,145 provincial nominees, 385 business immigrants, 6,445 sponsored spouses, 2,465 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 335 sponsored children. In 2019, 160,205 foreigners became permanent residents of Canada.

May 2019

In May 2019, 33,005 foreigners became permanent residents of Canada. Among them, there were 11,000 foreign skilled workers, 5,970 provincial nominees, 375 business immigrants, 6,335 sponsored spouses, 3,350 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 305 sponsored children. Canada admitted 125,830 immigrants since the beginning of the year.

April 2019

Canada admitted 26,890 permanent residents in April 2019. Among them, there were 9,940 foreign skilled workers, 4,535 provincial nominees, 485 business immigrants, 5,035 sponsored spouses, 2,310 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 320 sponsored children. In total, 92,825 new permanent residents immigrated to Canada in 2019.

March 2019 

In March 2019 Canada admitted 27,055 new permanent residents. Among them, there were 9,625 foreign skilled workers, 5,335 provincial nominees, 405 business immigrants, 5,210 sponsored spouses, 2,190 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 290 sponsored children. So far, 65,935 immigrants permanent residents of Canada in 2019. 

February 2019

20,245 foreigners were granted PR status in February 2019. Among them, there were 6,515 foreign skilled workers, 3,315 provincial nominees, 490 business immigrants, 4,645 sponsored spouses, 1,450 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 215 sponsored children. In total, 38,880 foreigners immigrated to Canada in 2019.

January 2019

In January 2019, 18,635 foreigners became permanent residents of Canada. Among them, there were 5,670 foreign skilled workers, 3,045 provincial nominees, 600 business immigrants, 4,430 sponsored spouses, 1,315 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 280 sponsored children. In 2018, Canada admitted 321,060 new permanent residents.

In 2018, Canada admitted 321,060 new permanent residents. Among them, there were 118,965 foreign skilled workers, 62,440 provincial nominees, 4,965 business immigrants, 62,885 sponsored spouses, 18,025 sponsored parents and grandparents, and 3,795 sponsored children.
